Marie Coleman
Marie Coleman currently Chairs the Management Assessment Panel for the Australian Capital Territory - see http://www.oca.act.gov.au/management/index.html. She has been a consultant in Indigenous child health and development, a newspaper columnist and a traveler since her retirement from the Commonwealth Public Service in 1993. At one time Director of the Victorian Council of Social Service, she became the first woman to head a Commonwealth Government agency in 1973 as Chair of the Social Welfare Commission. She was closely involved in social policy developments over several decades.
Marie was the inaugural Company Secretary for the National Foundation for Australian Women (NFAW) and later its Vice President. She helped initiate the NFAW's Australian Women's Archive Project. See http://www.nfaw.org
