Trudy Moore
A Commonwealth public servant for 23 years. Before her recent retirement Trudy was a long-standing staff member of the Office of the Status of Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Much of her work has involved building relationships with women's non -Government organisations (NGOs) through a number of projects including grants programs and capacity building workshops. More recently Trudy has managed projects relating to women's leadership and decision-making. In 1996, Trudy received one of the Department's Australia Day Achievement Awards for effective liaison with women's NGOs.
Trudy is the mother of three adult children and has two grandchildren.
As well as being a member of the Women's History Month Committee, Trudy is a member of the Management Committee of a Canberra Women's Refuge, and is a National Folk Festival volunteer. Her interests include such disparate areas as natural medicine, motor racing, and migration issues.
